Wayland’s Yard | Birmingham

As a self-confessed brunch-obsessed blogger, I’m going to be honest with you on this one. In each city I stay in, my goal is to find every single place that offers brunch and try out each one. This is, of course, to be pursued steadily over a long period of time and is entirely dependent on my diary and budget; nonetheless it is a challenge I am willing to take on.

In today’s brunch venture, I checked out Wayland’s Yard in Birmingham.

Situated on Bull Street – less than ten minutes’ walk from New Street Station – it boasts a contemporary, minimalistic interior with thought-out, with accents of orange throughout its slate grey interior and plenty of plants!

The atmosphere is very relaxed and informal – the staff are super friendly and really make you feel welcome instantly (let’s face it – this is pretty rare for coffee shops in 2018). I had brunch there on a Friday and it was fairly quiet; the only other customers were local office-workers on their lunch break. Wayland’s Yard deserves a lot more love and appreciation than it’s getting, and I think it’s down to its ever-so-slightly-out-of-the-way location. That’s why I wanted to spread the word about it here!

I find it really lovely to know (and taste) the fact that, throughout Wayland’s Yard, everything is fresh. It looks pretty good too!

I went for the smashed avocado on sourdough with poached eggs and chorizo, and it was divine! What I particularly like about Wayland’s Yard is the sheer variety of coffee styles, roasts and brews available. You name a coffee, they’ve got it.

I love Waylands Yard!! I’ve only been once but it was lovely in there. They even swapped the milk for me when I was being a nuisance! Gorgeous photos too!

Your welcome. I liked the post very much. London is nice for a tourist but not for someone who lived there for two decades almost
