The venue itself – Backhaus & Co – is an independently run bakery and brewery in the heart of FarGo Village, Coventry’s Creative Quarter. With over 45 independent businesses onsite, the area was originally used as an industrial space in the city centre. It has now been taken over by artists and entrepreneurs alike in order to create a space to support creatives and culture from across the West Midlands.
As the event was invitation only, upon arrival we had to check in with the guest list before we could enter the CovBloggers area, which had been decorated beautifully – it was immediately clear just how much time, effort and thought had gone into the event, which definitely paid off! The atmosphere was so welcoming and relaxed – it was so lovely to meet and learn from other bloggers, in particular those who share my passion for mental health awareness.
Every detail in the event’s organisation had been thought through beautifully – from the coordinated invite design and table confetti to the setup of the space in order to make the most of its unique feature walls and contemporary furnishing.
We were treated to gel manicures by nail artists from Glazed Nails, who also provided a glitter station to add some sparkle to the event!
Coventry Bloggers kindly organised a gorgeous little goody bag for every blogger at the event to take home. These were not only packaged beautifully, but included some incredibly generous gifts for each of us.
Inside I found a range of thoughtful gifts, from Crabtree & Evelyn hand cream, Sass & Belle tweezers and a couple of nail sets by ImPress Nails to a unique art print by Satin & Tat and the latest copy of Sofya Style magazine.
I’m already looking forward to seeing the bloggers I met at the event at the next Coventry Bloggers meet up and, in the mean time, trying out (and maybe even reviewing) some of the products in my blogger bag!
Thank you so much to Coventry Bloggers for organising the event – it was so lovely to meet likeminded creatives and discover new blogs!
