Mask of Magnaminty

Mask of Magnaminty

When I started university in a big city with lots of air pollution, I noticed my skin getting more oily, developing redness, and becoming increasingly prone to spots.

I thought that I would try using the strongest facial cleansers, toners and spot treatments I could find, because that way I could get my skin back to normal quickly. Turns out, that isn’t how it works. The drugstore facial scrubs and lotions I was buying were somehow managing to dry out the skin around my spots and oily areas, so my face was at two extremes. Not ideal. Sometimes, if the cleanser was really intense, it would make my skin so tight it felt like I had had botox everywhere and couldn’t move my face. Also not ideal.

As it turns out, this is because they contain a range of unnatural scary acids. Life hack for my past self: read the ingredients.

I needed to find something that would simply focus on fixing oily and red areas, without creating more skin dilemmas in doing so.

After almost two years of trying out various spot treatments, I’ve found something that works almost instantly.

As I mentioned earlier, I went to drugstore shops in the hope I could find a product that would quickly get rid of spots. I didn’t consider looking at the facemasks section because I assumed those were once-a-week-spa-night-in products that were for hydration or anti-ageing.

In my search for products with natural ingredients, Lush was my first and only destination. One of the things I love about Lush is that each product genuinely does what it says it does, which is unusual with any drugstore product. You usually start to notice it working within 24 hours, no matter what the product is. What more could you want, am I right?

I was recommended Mask of Magnaminty, and now I want to recommend it to you!

Here’s a list of its ingredients:

– peppermint oil to stimulate the skin so it looks bright and refreshed

– mineral rich kaolin to nourish

– honey for its moisturising and antibacterial properties

– marigold oil  to treat the skin

– primrose seeds and aduki beans to exfoliate when you wash it off

I use it two or three times per week, and after the first time I used it I noticed so much less redness and my skin instantly felt so much calmer and refreshed. It’s making such a difference to my skin and my confidence.

It lasts a really long time because you don’t need to use large amounts of it for it to work, and it’s also self-preserving!

I hope that this post helps you if you’re looking for a product that will help you get your skin back on track – I hope Mask of Magnaminty boosts your skin confidence too.
