Caravan / London

Caravan / London

One of my favourite brunch spots in London that I’ve ever been to is Caravan. I ate at the London Bankside restaurant with my boyfriend and the food was incredible.

Living up to the millennial instagrammable interior expectations, Caravan provided the sought-after New York industrial apartment aesthetic through exposed brick, exposed light bulbs and an open plan setup with marble and brushed steel detailing.

As soon as we entered we were surrounded by young professionals who spent more time on their phone than conversing with the person opposite, and the restaurant suddenly appeared somewhat intimidating. As it turns out, however, Caravan has a very relaxed atmosphere with an sophisticated edge to it – the staff are very welcoming and the food is contemporary, fresh and absolutely delicious, and they’re more than happy to alter any plate to your taste.

In terms of prices, the menu is very reasonably priced for a stylish brunch in the centre of London, with each plate around £10.

The restaurant is situated on London’s Southbank, around 5 minutes’ walk from the Tate Modern, which means post-brunch you have plenty of scenic routes you can take to walk off your meal and take in London’s beautiful scenery.
